Two days after a youth group threatened the
First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan,
Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake
Dickson, has assured of her safety if she
comes to the state for the presidential rally.
He said the threat issued to her by some
youths was the handiwork of the opposition.
Dickson, who condemned the threat in the
strongest terms, told the First Lady that the
state would remain home to President
Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, Dame Patience
and every citizen of the country.
The Governor, who stated that the statement
about the threat in some sections of the
media had just been brought to his attention,
maintained that the government and the
people of the State will at all times, accord
President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, Dame
Patience and other members of the first
family their due honour, respect and reception
in the State.
